I help women enjoy a touch of everyday luxury with handcrafted eco-friendly candles and decor that make their homes beautiful and sustainable.
HOW IT ALL STARTED...
My journey began with a lifelong love of interior design and architecture, which led me to earn a degree in Heritage Interior Design.
For years I dreamed of creating something that combined beauty, sustainability and wellbeing, but I found myself caught in the corporate wheel, unable to follow my true passion.
.After moving to Spain and running a travel business with my husband, everything changed when Covid struck. Our business collapsed almost overnight and my confidence hit rock bottom. I retrained as an ESL teacher, rediscovered my love for crafting, and began exploring creative outlets that brought me joy.
My love for candles soon led to a surprising discovery- the ones I was burning were causing health issues. Determined to find a better way, I began researching natural, sustainable ingredients and experimenting with cleaner, eco-friendly waxes and fragrances sourced locally in Spain.
That’s how Vics Wicks was born - from a desire to help women enjoy a touch of everyday luxury with handcrafted candles and decor that make their homes beautiful, sustainable, and full of calm, conscious joy.

I am the eldest of 6 sisters born and brought up in Pimlico, London.
I started running at the age of 46. I have completed one triathlon, a half Marathon and many 5 and 10k races. Whilst I am not the fastest or the best, running is now an important part of my mindful life.
I love animals. I have an elderly chihuahua and in my spare time I pet/house sit for a wide range of cats and dogs.
I once appeared in an episode of 'A Place in the Sun' as the 'local expert'.
I am full of useful and useless facts alike, so much that my friends joke that I should have an app called 'Ask Vicki'.
I have been crafting from a very early age and although my business is craft based, I still craft for fun and relaxation. I can't imagine my life without crafts.
